Would you like to contribute to our joint mission: a better world. As a Java developer this is possible by developing and improving applications for the lotteries.

Gerben Schepers, Java Developer at the Lottery since January: “In the past nine months I have already had the opportunity to work with multiple teams, including an international team with multiple disciplines. Together we work on reusable elements, such as a design system and various services for all our Lotteries at home and abroad. We run everything serverless via AWS and can therefore fully focus on the business logic instead of management. Because of all the opportunities to learn and the good atmosphere, I feel completely at home here.”

This is what you will do:

As a member of the scrum team, you are involved in the ongoing development of our lottery systems on a daily basis.
You will work in one of the backend scrum teams, which works closely with the other scrum teams and the other departments of the lottery.
You consult with the Solution architect(s) about the technical and operational aspects.

Your qualities:

You are innovative, and have very good communication skills. In addition, you have:

3-5 years of experience as a Java Developer with the latest LTS releases (SE11, and soon we will switch to 17), certification is an advantage.
Good knowledge of solutions such as Spring, Maven, Jenkins and postgres / AWS RDS.
Technical knowledge of Linux, JMS about Message brokers (ActiveMQ, AWS SQS), REST, Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Cadence / Activiti / Flowable, or similar solutions for orchestration of processes is an advantage.
Good knowledge of the English language.

The Dataservice department is the backbone of the organization. We develop and manage the Lottery applications and the entire IT infrastructure. We ensure that all IT works. We work together in multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve our IT landscape.
