Would you like to contribute to our joint mission: a better world. As a Java developer this is possible by developing and improving applications for the lotteries.
Gerben Schepers, Java Developer at the Lottery since January: “In the past nine months I have already had the opportunity to work with multiple teams, including an international team with multiple disciplines. Together we work on reusable elements, such as a design system and various services for all our Lotteries at home and abroad. We run everything serverless via AWS and can therefore fully focus on the business logic instead of management. Because of all the opportunities to learn and the good atmosphere, I feel completely at home here.”
You are innovative, and have very good communication skills. In addition, you have:
The Dataservice department is the backbone of the organization. We develop and manage the Lottery applications and the entire IT infrastructure. We ensure that all IT works. We work together in multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve our IT landscape. We are always looking for innovative possibilities and new techniques to make our IT better, faster and more efficient. Continuity, reliability and safety are paramount in everything we do: we maintain a margin of error of 0 in processes for the sale of lots, collections, draws and payment of prizes.
The Postcode Lottery Group is an international organisation with a social purpose. We set up and run lotteries to raise funds for a fairer, greener, healthier world.
Our players win prizes together with their neighbors and raise money for charity together – it’s a win-win!
Postcode Lottery players have now raised over €12 billion for hundreds of charities since 1989. We’re the 3rd largest private charity donor in the world.
Every day, more than 1,500 team members in the Netherlands, Sweden, Great Britain, Germany and Norway are helping to raise 2.3 million for charity partners
